We are also grateful that all the meetings held during the Israel team were streamed online live.

The Scripture given for the New Year in Israle

 The Israel team members held the New Year service by the Sea of Galilee on Sun. November 7th!

There the scripture for the new year was spoken by Pastor Paul Akimoto !

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; 

and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father."  John 14:12

The team has been blessed.  I give thanks the Lord for that.

Prayer meeting to pray for the peace of Jerusalem

 We, TLEA New York Church has joined the prayer meeting to pray for the peace of Jerusalem sponsored by TLEA Tokyo Antioch Church.

We prayed the prayer for a couple of minuites online via TEAMS in the meeting as well as ohter missionaries.

We felt it was really a blessing to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, helping us keep our eyes on Jerusalem where Jesus is coming again.

Participated in Hakba Camp online

  

We have participated in Hakuba Camp, Christian conference held in Hakuba, Nagano in Japan, starting on July 19, 2021 through July 22, 2021.

This time around it was the first time to hold the Camp on site and online at the same time.

In spite of the time differences, we were able to join the conference mostly online live -- just day and night meetings were the other way round here.

We were able to feel the presence of the Lord and got empowered! 

Thank God and the staff for that camp!

The front door to the chapel will be left open again

 

The front door to the chapel has remained closed since the next-door hotel was used as a homeless shelter and became increasingly unsafe with rising crime rates.

However, from next Sunday on, we will be able to leave the front door open to welcome anybody who wants to join our service. 

We are so thankful for that!

Hakuba camp (Chrisitan conference) will be held online!

 

Hakuba Sunerugoi （Co-workers) Camp is decided to be held on-line this year, which was to be hled in Hakuba, Nagano from March 3, 2021 through March 5, 2021.

 

M-san, a member of TLEA New York Church has never participated in that conference since it is held in Japan. Yet, she has been praying that she could. 

She is so happy that her prayer got answered.

We are also happy to fully participate in the camp even though we couldn't return Japan this March again due to the pandemic. 

What a benefit of Internet!

Pastor Asano's mother gone to heaven

Pastor Asano's mother passed away on Feb. 10.  His brother called him and told me that  she passed as if she was going to sleep.  

She has attended the local church for over 60 years and has led her son Pastor Asano to faith in Christ.

Her funeral was held at her local church as she wished. 

It was a time of hearing the hope of heaven - the death was conqured by Jesus' death and resurrection.

As his brother talked about the funeral on the phone, Pastor Asano was able to tell him about the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The death of his mother has given us oppotunities to share the gospel; we will keep praying for our unsaved family members.

We believe His time has come for salvation!

 

Nagasaki Martyrs anniversary meeting held on the hill of Nishizaka

On Feb. 5, 2021, Nagasaki Martyrs Anniversary Meeting was held on the hill of Nishizaka where the first 26 Christians were killed for their faith in Japan.

The chance of rain was 80-90 % but it didn't rain at all, thanks to earnest prayer of many.

We at TLEA NY Church was able to attend that live meeting online at midnight .

We felt a wonderful presence of the Lord throughout the meeting.

We are so grateful that the Lord strongly spoke to our hearts through Pastor Isaiah Kihara and Pastor Paul Akimoto.
